Traino Group has completed the main concrete works on the Warrick Lane Carpark in Blacktown. Traino Group welcomed the opportunity to work with AW Edwards and the Blacktown City Council to deliver a 482 space car park. The carpark is part of the first stage of the Warrick Lane Precinct Redevelopment as part of the Blacktown City Centre transformation. The project aims to provide benefits to both the local businesses but also to those in the community by transforming the area into a lively and dynamic precinct.
Since the beginning of construction in March 2020, approximately 6000m3 of concrete was used to create the car park. Various elements such as the creation of columns required an Off-Form concrete finish. The relevant project specifications required the concrete to have a finish of uniform quality and texture, so it was critical to ensure consistency in the mix. Traino has successfully delivered the entire project within specification by working with Hanson Australia to ensure a consistent mix and structural integrity through careful management and quality control throughout the entire supply chain.
